Dave Savage

Savage Monsters Industries (www.savagemonsters.com) began in 2000 as a fun interactive project that could also double as a portfolio for Dave Savage. Monsters are always fun to draw, although he does draw other things. He has no idea what to do with much of his work, like the 500 or so paper bag puppets that are in his attic. Currently, there are no estimates to how many post-it note doodles and little yellow sketch books he has stashed in his Secret Lair.

Dave Savage has lived too many places...raised in suburban Kansas City, MO, he's also lived in Atlanta, GA, Hoboken, NJ, Washington, DC, and Cleveland, OH. His current Secret Lair is in Los Angeles, CA. He works for a company that makes greeting cards. MSN, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, AMCtv, and Oral B are among some of his more prominent clients.

Other projects including books, fonts, zines, stickers, t-shirts and other fun things are currently in the works.

One day, Dave hopes to actually learn how to draw.

Punk Rock, xerox machines, silkscreening, psychedelic art, comics, comix, monster movies, monster magazines, mid-century modern art and design, pop art, surrealism, fluxus, dada, advertising, BMX, skateboarding, graffiti, surfing, heavy metal, UFOs, Le Dernier Cri, B-Movies, all the kids from my Funny Garbage days, and anything that my crazy pals tell me about.
